We recommend you start with the size that you wear and fits you comfortably now, but if this is your first Very Good Briefs order it's worth measuring and checking against the below, particularly when buying from overseas where sizing methods are very different.

With no spandex our briefs do fit a little differently and you may need to go up a size as we've less stretch. We also don't use stretch thread as conventional undies do (it's plastic), so again, consider a size up if you're on the cusp. If pulled on too roughly or stretched on the waist, the thread can break and you don't want that!
